Jeffrey's firm, Estates by Jeffrey Colle' is located in Wainscott, NY.
Jeffrey has been working on the east end of Long Island for over forty years. Thirty years ago, he started his development business and has developed some of the largest projects in the history of the east end. Jeffrey has purchased and developed many projects from Southampton to East Hampton. Jeffrey was one of the first to enter the high-end "spec" market in the Hamptons. He has extensive experience in putting deals together from both the financial and practical standpoint of a project.
Jeffrey is known throughout the Hamptons as one of the finest builders in the area. He worked for his father, also a builder, from an early age and learned many of his old-school techniques as a young man. He then relocated to the Hamptons and started his own carpentry company, then his own general contracting company.
He has a keen attention to detail and a sincere appreciation of design, craftsmanship, and the highest quality. He often refers to his aesthetic as old-world quality tailored to today's innovations, along with needs and preferences of his clientele. He is known for his amazing woodwork, custom finishes, and use of old-world and antique materials. There is no detail left unchecked in any of his work.
Since 1995 he has been involved in projects ranging from $300/sq. ft. to $1,800/sq. ft. He has bought and sold hundreds of millions of dollar’s worth of real estate.
His work has been published in many publications including Architectural Digest, House and Garden, and many others.
Jeffrey has always developed his projects with the community, the environment, and preservation in mind by allowing for open space reserves as part of the development plan. A few of the more notable projects Jeffrey has completed are:
In 2000, he purchased 62 acres of oceanfront property with 1,300 lf of ocean frontage on Daniels Lane in Sagaponack, then subdivided to 4 estate lots with 40 acres of reserve.
In 2004, he purchased appx. 19 acres on Parsonage Lane in Sagaponack which was subdivided into 2 estate lots, one with a 7.5-acre reserve, and one with a 5.1-acre reserve.
Also, in 2004, he purchased 62 acres in Water Mill which was part of a 600-acre contiguous reserve, the largest in Suffolk County. He then developed the site along with several agricultural reserves.
In 2008, Jeffrey purchased 40 acres in Wainscott which has been subdivided into 7 estate lots with a 28-acre organic farming reserve
In 2009, he purchased appx. 32 acres on Sagg Pond and subdivided into two 3.75-acre estate lots with large reserves.
Nick Martin
Nick’s firm, Martin Architects PC, AIA, is located in the village of Sagaponack NY, and is in the planning stages of opening a satellite office in New York City.
Nick Martin AIA has over twenty-five years of architecture and approximately eighteen years of construction experience designing high-end private residences and commercial spaces including restaurants, retail stores, gallery spaces and art studios. After receiving his professional architecture license in 2000, Nick’s vision and expertise drove him to start his own architecture firm, Martin Architects PC, AIA. Incorporating Architecture, design, interiors, engineering, marketing and master financial analysis ensuring investment value and quality. Four years later Nick created a high-end building firm, 4MA Builders. His educational honors include first design excellence at Harvard’s Undergraduate Architecture Discovery Program, several traveling fellowships from Pratt School of Architecture studying in Cyprus, Athens and Rome and being awarded Magna Cum laude. Martin Architects professional career has included over 50 design awards, being published in a number of publications and being awarded in his Pro Bono works.
The son of an Archeologist/ painter and a world financier and sportsman, Nick’s life journey brought him to live in four continents, including Argentina and Colombia, Germany and London and the US. being brought to directly experience the world’s treasures of Architectural and culture throughout his life. As such, Nick is active in many fine arts (music, oil painting, water colors, etc.), social sports (tennis and golf) and both water and mountain sports (sailing, surfing, climbing, snowboarding). The cultural travel, deeper level in arts and active sportsman experiences he has engaged in have forged a unique understanding of art, culture and space as it relates to the human condition.
Nick offers a rare blend of creative and innovative designs incorporating craft with a high degree of service. His success in creating and renovating high end private residences in both modern and traditional design and creating commercial spaces has brought him acclaim and published works. Experience in New York City with such notable firms as Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, Architecture + Furniture, Gabellini Associates, and Brennan Beer and Gorman. Published projects regarding work done while in New York City include: Architecture + Furniture - private residences, MTV corporate headquarters and the Diabetes Center of NY; Gabellini Associates – high end private residential work, and the AIA awarded New York flagship store for Nicole Farhi. With Gwathmey Siegal, Nick worked on The Guggenheim museum, Michael Dell’s Estate, with Brennan Beer Gorman and Carlos Zapata Nick worked on multi-faceted large-scale masterplan works including those in Chicago, Boston, Jakarta, Hong Kong and London.
Nick received his Bachelor’s in Architecture, magna cum laude, from Pratt School of Architecture, and completed Harvard’s Architectural discovery program with highest honors, he holds his license as a NY real estate agent, Architect and Builder and is a member of the US green Council. Martin Architects has a staff of Licensed Architects, an interior designer, and master planner.
Nick’s life journey brought him to live in four continents. Being brought to directly experience the world’s treasures of Architectural and culture throughout his life. His eye has forged a unique understanding of Art, culture and space as it relates to the human condition. He is an active musician, keeps an art studio, enjoys tennis, competitive regatta sailing, and other alpine and water sports.
Passionate about the community and sustainability Nick is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a Long House trustee serving as master-planner, member of the Long Range planning board of the Devon Yacht Club, member of the the Board of Directors of South Fork Natural History Museum and Nature Center (SOFO) – supporting education and environmental stewards, Active member of the US Green Building Council and is the Co- Chair of the Architectural Review Board of Sagaponack Village Building Department for the last 5 years.
